Investor Pass and property investment
Can foreigners buy property in Paraguay?
Yes. Foreigners can buy property in Paraguay; the main restriction is the 50 km border security zone, where citizens of neighboring countries cannot own rural property (Law 2532/2005). If the purchase is an investment of at least USD 200,000 for commercial purposes, it can also qualify you for Paraguay permanent residency through the Investor Pass.
Investor Pass through property investment
The property must be held for commercial or investment purposes: it cannot be your home. Purchases paid in installments are accepted: with a private purchase agreement with certified signatures, at least 30% of the declared investment must already be paid.
