How do you get a Paraguay tax residency certificate?

The Paraguay tax residency certificate is issued by the DNIT (tax authority). You apply with your cédula (Paraguayan ID card): if you are registered for a RUC (taxpayer number), you must also be up to date with your tax obligations; if not, you submit your official record of entries and exits for the period. It is issued in 10 business days and is valid for one year.

What it is for

It proves to banks and authorities in other countries that you are a tax resident of Paraguay.

Requirements under General Resolution 65/20

• Paraguayan cédula.
• If you are registered for a RUC: be up to date with your obligations.
• If you are not: official record of entries and exits for the period.
